REFUND AND EXCHANGE POLICY

Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

2-Year Manufacturing Warranty

Pijo Pty Ltd will repair or replace, at its discretion, any manufacturing defect (see #1 below) in its products free of charge for up to 2 years from purchase. This does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear (see #2 below), accident (lost or stolen), improper care or cleaning, non-standard usage, or negligence. Products must be purchased from pijo.com.au or from an authorised Pijo retailer, and must be returned to us for evaluation.

If you wish to return a faulty or damaged product, you must notify us at hello@pijo.com.au. For any claim to be recognised, customers must notify Pijo Pty Ltd within 24 months of purchase and provide an order number or receipt as proof of purchase. Pijo Pty Ltd will then provide you with an address to return the faulty or damaged item.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to confirm receipt. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or exchange.

If you are approved for a refund, it will be processed and a credit applied to your original method of payment within 20–25 business days.

A Pijo Pty Ltd team member may require further evidence of the defect, and you must cooperate to proceed with your replacement.

Pijo Pty Ltd reserves the right to decline a replacement request if, on inspection, our team determines the request does not meet our warranty conditions.

Typical replacement or exchange scenarios that will not be accepted include:

  • Customer change of mind.
  • Incorrect shipping address entered at checkout — we cannot offer a replacement or redirect your order.
  • Requests based on the product not being made of the material expected (all materials are clearly stated in product listings).
  • Mild odour upon first use — this is normal for new stainless steel products and will disappear after cleaning.
  • Incorrect item, character, or size selected when purchasing.
  • Dissatisfaction with colour representation (colours may vary slightly between screen and product).
  • Damage caused by the user.
  • Sale items.

Late or Missing Refunds

Refunds will only be offered where an item has experienced a manufacturing defect and you do not wish to receive a replacement. A Pijo Pty Ltd team member may require further evidence of the defect before proceeding.

Pijo Pty Ltd reserves the right to decline a refund request if the request does not meet our warranty conditions.

Refunds must be requested within 30 days of receiving your purchase (special circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis), and you must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Typical refund scenarios that will not be accepted include:

  • Incorrect shipping address entered at checkout.
  • Requests based on material expectations not matching product listings.
  • Mild odour upon first use.
  • Incorrect item, character, or size selected when purchasing.
  • Damage caused by the user.
  • Sale items.

If you have not received your refund, please first check your bank account, then contact your credit card provider, then your bank — processing times vary. If you have completed all of these steps and still have not received your refund, please contact us at hello@pijo.com.au.

If an exchange is approved, the replacement product will be dispatched at Pijo Pty Ltd's expense within 10–15 business days. Replacement and exchange decisions are at the sole discretion of Pijo Pty Ltd. Delivery timeframes may vary depending on your location.

You are responsible for paying return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable. For items over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Pijo Pty Ltd cannot be held liable for lost inbound return packages.

#1 Manufacturing Defects

A manufacturing defect exists where the product departs from its intended design or function (see #3 below). Defective materials (lid, seal, silicone components, etc.) or defective workmanship (moulding, construction, etc.) are covered for 24 months from the date of purchase. Pijo Pty Ltd will repair or replace, at its discretion, any such manufacturing defect free of charge.

#2 Wear and Tear

Wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal use. Moving parts will wear, silicone components may deteriorate over time, and materials will scratch. While we use high-quality materials appropriate for daily use by children, all materials degrade over time.

#3 Intended Design and Function

Pijo products are designed for everyday use by children for drinking and food storage. They are not designed to withstand large drops, significant impact, or prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Products are not intended for microwave use. The silicone character heads are designed to be removable and collectible, and are not intended to be chewed or used as toys. Images on our website are provided for illustrative purposes only; we do not guarantee that any image will reproduce in true colour or fully represent the finished product.

We have made every effort to display product colours and images as accurately as possible. We cannot guarantee that your device's display of any colour will be accurate.

We reserve the right to limit the sale of our products to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. All product descriptions and pricing are subject to change at any time without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.

We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information or other material purchased by you will meet your expectations.

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household, or per order.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store, and to promptly update your account information — including your email address and payment details — so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

We may provide access to third-party tools over which we have no control. You acknowledge that we provide access to such tools "as is" without any warranties or conditions of any kind. Any use of optional third-party tools is entirely at your own risk and discretion.

Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Pijo Pty Ltd and our affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers and employees from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

If any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed severed from these Terms of Service without affecting the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.

These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. If in our sole judgment you fail to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Service, we may terminate this agreement at any time without notice, and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination.

These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site constitute the entire agreement and understanding between you and us, and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written.

Your access to our website does not licence you to use any of these marks or character designs in any commercial way without our prior express written consent.

The contents of our website are intended solely for personal, non-commercial use by its users (other than for the purchase of merchandise from our site). You may not reproduce, publish, transmit, distribute, display, modify, create derivative works of, sell or exploit in any way any of the contents of this site.
